Victorian MTB Championship Series – Round 7 – Mt Beauty
Saturday 16th February 2019
The Victorian MTB Championship Series (VMCS) is just a great name for a series of club events providing cross-country racing to Victorian riders. First launched in 2017 with four rounds over three weekends, the VMCS saw a great comeback for the sport that has been lacking in Victorian for many years now. Recognising that cross-country racing is the pathway for our junior riders into world and Olympic teams, its importance goes without saying. The series is run under the regulatory banner of the MTBA club or private promoter insurance and thus all rules of MTBA for racing, age brackets and categories will be adhered to.
Mount Beauty is the home town of Cross Country mountain biking in Australia. The National championships where held here for many many years in a row and we also have Survey Track which was the first legalised dual use train in Australia allowing MTB’s on single track.
LOCATION: Big Hill MTB Park, Bogong High Plains Rd, Mt Beauty
TIME: Racing start time TBC
