2025-26 Alpine Junior MTB Race Series
This series is built on the values of participation, encouragement, and community. Whether you’re a first-time rider or a junior with race experience, this is your chance to hit the trails in a welcoming, supportive environment. Come-and-try racers are especially encouraged, and each round will offer a great introduction to mountain biking through our local clubs.
We’re also thrilled to welcome All Terrain Cycles as our 2025/26 Series Sponsor. Their support is helping us create an even more accessible and exciting experience for every young rider.
This year we are running seven races over six venues. Each round is hosted by a passionate local club, ensuring a unique experience and a strong community vibe at every event.
This year there are seven races over six venues:
- RACE 1 | Sat Oct 25 – Beechworth
- RACE 2 | Sat Nov 15 – Bright
- RACE 3 | Sat Nov 29 – Yackandandah
- RACE 4 | Sat Dec 13 – Albury
- RACE 5 | Sat Feb 7 – Mansfield
- RACE 6 | Sat Feb 28 – Mt Beauty
- RACE 7 | Sat Mar 21 – Bright
All courses and duration of races are set to suit the developmental stages of junior riders, there will be multiple courses running at each event, a shorter, easier course for younger riders and a slightly longer course for older riders.

To participate all children MUST be AusCycling members. We recommend choosing an affiliate club when you register with either of these, your points will go towards your club’s overall performance in the series.
Please note, as each race is counted towards part of a series all children will be automatically assigned to an age group based on their year of birth.
Whilst some riders will be racing to beat their friends, others will be there for the opportunity to ride a different track with loads of other kids from around the region, everyone is welcome, no matter how fast or slow, as long as they come with a friendly attitude, pedal bike and a helmet!
Cost is $10 per race (unless indicated otherwise)
A BBQ and series presentation will take place at the final race of the series.
- A certificate will be awarded to top 3 in each category at each individual race.
- Points are awarded on a sliding scale for all riders (best 4 races)
- Series results will not be published until the end of the series as the main goal of the series is participation
- Series prizes will be awarded to winners of each category with 3 or more competitors
- To be eligible for a series prize, competitors must have raced in at least 4 races
So grab your bike, bring a friend, and come join the fun — everyone is welcome, and every ride counts.
Let’s ride together – see you on the trails!
